Renewal Reports improvements for Key Account Managers
As an Account Manager working with the upcoming renewals for your set of customers, you might find it tedious or distracting to see all the customers that are not assigned to you.
Only seeing the renewing subscriptions that belong to your assigned customers would make your work faster and more efficient.
Lucky for you, we’ve done just that!
As a Key Account Manager, when you are running the Renewals Report, you’ll see a confirmation in the Filters that says you’ll see results only for “Assigned Organization Groups”.

So you can be sure that in the results, you’ll see only the most relevant renewals for you.
Likewise, when you’re receiving the Scheduled Renewals Report, it’s the same. And this will be specified in the Renewals Report email as well.

If you’re a Broker Admin, you’ll still get the full report, including all upcoming renewals from all Organizations.

No changes are required from your side, this is already implemented.
Keep in mind that even if the Renewals Report is delivered to a Broker Admin and Key Account Manager within the same Schedule, it still delivered separate emails with separate report content, based on the user’s role.
So, you can use the same scheduled report to deliver the report to all Key Account Managers (and Broker Admins), but each person will still receive the report that is relevant for them.

Improved discounting capabilities for billing
The Manual Billing Lines functionality is just a wonderful flexible tool that you can use to create any kind of adjustments to your billing, either for yourself or for your customers to see.
We’ve just added the ability to create manual billing lines with a negative value, either to the cost price, sales price or both.
For example, this means you can create various sales price reductions for some of your customers, with the cost price being 0.

Some more example bulk discount use cases for Excel import or API users:
-
Create a one-time discount for customers based on their total spend that month (e.g. 10% of total spend that month)
-
Create tiered discounts for customers based on the spend buckets that month (e.g. 5% discount for up to 50,000 EUR spend, 10% discount for up to 100,000 EUR spend, 15% discount for up to 150,000 EUR spend)
-
Create retroactive one-off discounts for customers who have purchased more than 100 licenses or a specific subscription
Microsoft End of sales products added to price list
End of sale products are a set of products that is no longer available for new purchases in the Microsoft NCE. Customers with existing subscriptions are, however, allowed to renew subscriptions for end of sale products. The pricing for end of sale products are subject to changes and with this in mind changes may also impact brokers margins.
With Microsoft finally publishing price lists for end of sale products we have added support for these products in our price lists.
This means that you will be able to manage pricing for your customers with end of sale products in the same way as you are currently managing pricing for any other Microsoft license based product. This will allow you, as a broker, to have more control over the renewals of end of sales products.

Reserved instances Price list exchange rate
With Microsoft publishing product pricing for Reserved instances in USD, overlooking pricing for Reserved instances can sometimes be a bit puzzling for non-USD brokers.
To assist in getting a more clear view of what you can expect as a broker transacting in any currency other than USD we have introduced exchange rates in price lists.
Microsoft will publish the current exchange rates on monthly basis and we will calculate the pricing based on price in USD and the current exchange rate and apply the relevant price on the date of purchase.
This will allow you to be more confident in discussions regarding pricing and financial forecasting.
Keep in mind that exchange rates are updated continuously and that this will affect your pricing.
Brokers transacting in USD will keep the same functionality since the pricing is already displayed in USD.

Azure billed usage line items
For any broker looking to get detailed Azure usage information we have now added a new endpoint to support changes from Microsoft.
The new endpoint introduced is
GET /api/resellers/{resellerId}/billing/azureonetimeusage/report/billed/invoice/{invoiceId}
This endpoint will be useful to brokers who are looking to dig deeper in to the details of their organizations Azure usage and is replacing a previous endpoint in our API.
The new endpoint will support pagination without continuation tokens to allow for a slightly more efficient and reliable point of integration.
For more details on the endpoint, please have a look at Cloudmore API documentation
