Sign in with Microsoft

We are happy to announce that the new “Sign in with Microsoft” feature is generally available. Now you can enable and even enforce login to the Cloudmore platform using Microsoft credentials, streamlining access and enhancing security through Single Sign-On (SSO).

You’ll find this feature particularly beneficial if:

  • You are a Microsoft partner managing multiple tenants: Partners who oversee multiple customer tenants can seamlessly access Cloudmore without needing separate credentials for each, saving time and reducing complexity.

  • You seek maximum leverage of Microsoft services: Companies and users who heavily use Microsoft 365 or Azure will benefit from the convenience of using their existing Microsoft credentials, eliminating the need for multiple login accounts.

  • You prioritize security: This feature enhances security by leveraging Microsoft’s secure Single Sign-On (SSO) framework, reducing the risks associated with password management.

  • You provide white-label services: Businesses offering a branded experience can benefit from the ability to use their own Azure application for user authorization, aligning with their brand identity.

Microsoft SSO

Sign-in with Microsoft is a very flexible way to manage authentication for your internal users as well as for your Organizations. It allows you full control over who can use the functionality to access the platform and what Azure application is used to handle the sign-in process to ensure a complete white-labeled experience.

Check out the Sign in with Microsoft guide on our Knowledge Base for more details.

GDAP relationships report

We’ve introduced a new feature that allows you to download a comprehensive report of your active and pending delegated permissions.
This is a great way for you to get a quick overview of your existing customer administration relationships and identify opportunities to maximize partner incentives for Microsoft 365 and Azure by adding new or replacing expired ones.

  • Export as an Excel or .csv from the “Admin relationships” page

Announcement: Key details about new API endpoints for billed and unbilled usage reports

This is a quick reminder that Cloudmore is updating our API infrastructure to align with Microsoft’s migration to new APIs for managing billed and unbilled Azure consumption line items. Current endpoints for retrieving Azure usage reports will be deprecated. New endpoints will be introduced, and Brokers must update their integrations by January 21, 2025 to avoid disruptions.

We’ve published a detailed summary of the new endpoint names, validations, and responses so you can start planning to update your API integrations. The new endpoints are not yet active, and the current endpoints will continue to work until the retirement date.

Creating your own custom services

As you might have heard, Cloudmore could go much further than just the Microsoft CSP program.

You can create just about any kind of license-based or consumption-based service, or integrate a 3rd party service for provisioning or billing.

In an effort to keep improving the functionality and capabilities of these flexible custom services, we have made a decision to maintain and support the custom services on the Seller level.

That means if you want to create custom services, you can have a separate login to a Seller level account to set up the service.

This comes with specific benefits:

  • Permission management - Keeps your service and products' setup separate from price management. Any other Admin user on your Broker account can’t access the product setup and potentially meddling with any integrations.

  • Publishing to different Brokers - This enables you to have several Broker accounts and create the custom service on Seller level. Then publish the service to several Brokers at once. Each Broker can manage their sales prices individually.

  • More stable custom services - As the Cloudmore developers need to support only a single implementation (instead of parallel duplicative implementations) of custom services, we have more resources to keep this single implementation reliable and improve on it.

Add-on improvements

Speaking of improvements, the Seller level custom service product add-ons received an update.

The add-ons are essentially some additional features that could be enabled/disabled, as long as the main subscription is active.

Here are some examples of what could be subscription add-ons:

  • Premium support

  • Additional storage space

  • Storage retention

  • API access

  • Device insurance

  • Security features

  • …the list goes on

If the main subscription is license based, the add-on could also have its own license count.

Or it could always follow the main subscription’s license count.

Or it could always maintain a quantity of 1.

Consumption-based add-ons can have their own metered pricing.

The pricing for these add-ons can be managed in the Price List, as for the rest of the products' price management.
